limited international noise trends
To be fair, it all really started with Equinox. Hans Rees, Jim Satkoski, Dave Lane, and Julian DePuma formed this band when Julian was the only one with an instrument (an Ibanez Destroyer II). By the end of their middle school years, Hans had drums and Jimmy had procured a bass and a small PA system. Equinox dabbled in everything from U2 and Journey to Motley Crue and Iron Maiden. After playing for a few house parties, Julian moved to the Seattle area--but not before recruiting Erick Orr to join the band and renaming them…LINT.
With the change in members a change in line-up also took place. Erick played violin in the school orchestra, so LINT determined that he should play bass (both have 4 strings…rock band logic). Jimmy took on guitar duties. LINT also refocused their sound to a more raw sound. The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Black Flag, and other punk favorites became the cornerstone. As time went on LINT added a mix of sounds expanding to other alternative rock bands like R.E.M. and Graham Parker.
Since graduating high school in 1987, LINT all went in different directions. They reunited every summer for the next 4 years and then not again until 2009 and 2012 for one-off shows.
