Under new management, the Lafayette Theater is hosting a music series in 2022 to celebrate the installation of NEW DOORS for the historic venue. Frank Muffin was born on the stage of the Lafayette Theater back in spring 2011, and has performed a variety of performances there including open mic events, community events, Hans & Brittany's wedding (!), and their first three full-album tribute charity benefit performances.
On Thursday, May 12, Frank Muffin returns to the Lafayette Theater as part of their New Doors Music Series hosted by the Long Center for the Performing Arts organization. This series features a few of the Greater Lafayette area bands that have become fan-favorites over the years. Guests will get a small taste into the future of the Lafayette Theater and the renovations that will bring a new cycle of performances and artists through it's new doors.
This performance will be the first full Frank Muffin original music show since opening for Gin Blossoms at the Long Center in November 2021. They will be performing nearly all original music featured on their 2020 four-disc Year of the Muffin album and their 2018 Forest for the Trees debut album.
Doors open for this event at 5:30 pm, with music from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. The audience will have a chance to meet and greet with Frank Muffin after the performance. Beer, wine, and snacks will be available for purchase. Tickets are $8 online or at the door. Get yours in advance at https://longpac.org/events/frank-muffin
