The month of March holds many things: the vernal equinox, basketball madness, the Ides of March, World Folklore Tales and Fables Week, St. Patrick's Day, National Optimism Month, and Women's History Month. The last being the focus for In the Mix with Frank Muffin Episode 2: Women in Music.
Women are important and valuable members in all fields, and the band chose to dedicate this episode to celebrate the women who please our ears and our souls with their talents in music performance, songwriting, and producing. This recognition is extra special to Frank Muffin, being a band with a very special gal supplying the foundational bass playing, harmonizing vocals, and engineering the Year of the Muffin mixes!
FYI: The following is an assessment of women's representation in the music industry from the Billboard Year-End Hot100 charts from 2012 to 2020: https://assets.uscannenberg.org/docs/aii-inclusion-recording-studio2021.pdf
Frank Muffin has enjoyed their ongoing friendship with the RtS community, and is now "In the Mix" on Rockin' the Suburbs Radio. Tune in to the stream on Sunday, March 27 at 5:30 pm EDT.
