DO YOU KNOW THE MUFFIN MAN? Best known for their vocal harmonies, Frank Muffin and their alternative rock sound is busting out of their hometown from Lafayette, IN. Their music is driven from a strong footing of acoustic guitar that develops with blended electric guitar layers and sometimes synth/keys additions, strings, and flute. With all members as multi-instrumentalists, they encompass a vast range in genre that gives a pleasing little something for everyone. Muffin originals land somewhere among alt-rock, new wave, Americana, punk, and alternative pop. Influenced by the community, culture, and sounds of their hometown, they perform music that speaks to fans across the musical spectrum. Their signature style has become synonymous with a diverse collection of melodies and compositions.
In late 2018, they released their debut album Forest for the Trees. It was soon followed up with a wild project in 2020 by releasing one new song every week for the entire year. That culminated in four 13-track volumes that is Year of the Muffin. Over the course of the Muffin catalog, you’ll find dynamic differences between some quick pop-punk tunes, driving orchestrated arrangements, Americana storytelling, all surrounding a strong root in alternative rock. In 2021, Frank Muffin had the pleasure to open for Gin Blossoms and hit the road for two tours with shows in Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, and central New York.
